By now you’ve probably heard of the YouTube Orchestra, the world’s first orchestra selected entirely through on-line auditions. The project was announced last year, the auditions came flying in from all over the world and the members have been chosen. Here at KDFC we are proud to see four talents from around the Bay Area. They are Cupertino’s Hannah Tarley, violin, Fremont’s Michelle Kwon, cello, Modesto’s Calvin Lee, violin and San Francisco’s Jonathon Brummel, trombone. Congratulations! The 90 finalists from 30 countries will join Michael Tilson Thomas at Carnegie Hall April 12th through the 15th for the classical music summit conlcuding with the concert on the 15th. Check the finalists out at www.YouTube.com/Symphony .
